Breathe to Balance
Breath is one of the most powerful tools we have for restoring balance to body, mind, and spirit. In this class, we’ll explore pranayama, the ancient yogic art of conscious breathing. While often confused with modern “breathwork,” pranayama is distinct. It is a time-honored set of practices rooted in yoga’s wisdom traditions, designed to cultivate vitality (prana), sharpen awareness, and regulate the nervous system.
You’ll be guided step-by-step through accessible breathing techniques, with clear instruction, modifications, and contraindications offered along the way. The class is taught from a trauma-informed perspective, so you can engage at your own pace and choose what feels safe and supportive for you.

Expanding into Love: Meeting Fear with Compassion
In this 90-minute gathering, facilitated by Christina Rodriguez, we will explore practices that help us stay soft, receptive, and open-hearted even in uncertain and contentious times. Together, we’ll:
Settle in with a short Dharma reflection on fear, compassion, and expansiveness.
Practice a guided Metta (loving-kindness) meditation, offering compassion first to ourselves and then extending outward.
Share in community conversation about the fears we carry, and how our practices can help us meet them with steadiness and care.
This will be a brave space for honesty, tenderness, and connection—a reminder that while fear narrows us, love always invites us to expand.
